BRIO SPARKS IMAGINATION
Brio of Sweden makes a wide range of colorful toys for children from newborns to eight year olds. They are known for high quality toys that stimulate child development. Working with the idea that a child's imagination must be the leading factor in play, Brio has succeeded in creating toys that a child will be interested in for years. Brio toys involve a child in doing, not just observing.

Before we started our store, we traveled an hour to purchase Brio track for our two year old. After his bedtime, we got out the track collection and built layouts on the family room carpet. We challenged each other to build a layout using every piece, and having two reversing loops. It was FUN. I knew then that other families would want to have toys with the solid quality and open-ended play philosophy of Brio toys.

Brio concentrates on classic designs, and then adds new ones that are just right. Brio's new Richard Scarry Busytown line of cars, buildings, and
characters are sure to delight every pre-schooler. See it at
http://www.somedayisle.com/toys/trains/brio/r-scarry.htm And don't miss Brio's new Theodore Tugboat, bringing the Big Harbor from the PBS television series to your Brio layout. Theodore and friends are at http://www.somedayisle.com/toys/trains/brio/theodore.htm

TINKERING WITH A CLASSIC TOY
Wooden Sticks and knobs with holes... The TinkerToy name has been associated with these colorful sticks for generations. It's been a creative construction and motion toy that children have loved since 1913. Changes
were made, and TinkerToys were manufactured from plastic by Playschool beginning in 1992. Now the ownership of the name is changing again and the future of products with the TinkerToys name is uncertain. However, wooden sticks and knobs made from the original dies of the historic toy are here for today's kids. They are called "Fiddlestix" and are the closest as any we've seen to the original TinkerToys sets... entirely made of wood, manufactured in the USA, and compatible with any older set of TinkerToys from 1913 to the present. Build a windmill! Build the biggest building you can! See Fiddlestix at

PUZZLING HEADS UPWARD
Once people thought that the world was flat, and then creative minds proved it to be round. Once all puzzles were flat, until Wrebbit,Inc's Paul Gallant came up with Puzz-3D in 1991. Read about the very interesting history of puzzles and how they developed over the ages at
http://www.somedayisle.com/puzzles/articles/puzhist1.htm And check out our great Puzz-3D collection at http://www.somedayisle.com/puzzles/3D.htm Don't miss the mini Puzz-3d if you are a beginner or are looking for a small gift. For those of you who are not afraid to tackle a big project and have no fears of commitment, take a look at New York New York (item WR-P3D-SP2).
